Joseph R. Dietz, Jr. joined Barkan & Robon, Ltd. as an Associate in September, 2007. He works primarily in the firm’s civil litigation section while also gaining experience in corporate and real estate law.

Admitted to the Ohio Bar in November, 2007, Mr. Dietz received his Juris Doctor from the Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law in May, 2007. As a law student, Joe held internships with the Ohio General Assembly, the Ashland County Prosecuting Attorney, and the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney. He also handled several cases in the Delaware Municipal Court as part of the law school’s criminal prosecution practicum. Joe also participated in the Herman Moot Court Competition and worked for two years on the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law.

Mr. Dietz graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Philosophy. As an undergraduate, Joe worked as a Research Assistant in the Parliament of the United Kingdom. He was also a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and was awarded the Citation of Merit for leadership and service to the campus community.

He is a member of the American, Ohio State and Toledo Bar Associations.
